Common questions.

How much does commercial truck insurance cost?

Commercial truck insurance typically costs between $5,000 and $20,000 per year depending on the type of truck, cargo, driving radius, and your safety record. Owner-operators running local routes generally pay less than those running interstate. We compare 40+ carriers to find your best rate.

What is the minimum liability required for a commercial truck?

The FMCSA requires a minimum of $750,000 in primary liability for most general freight carriers. Hazmat loads require $1,000,000 or more. Some freight brokers require higher limits in their contracts.

Can I get coverage the same day?

Yes. We specialize in same-day trucking coverage. Once you choose your plan, we issue your certificate of insurance and file with the FMCSA the same day so you can start hauling immediately.

What is bobtail insurance and do I need it?

Bobtail insurance covers your truck when it is being driven without a trailer — between loads or after making a delivery. If you are leased to a carrier, their insurance typically does not cover you when you are not under dispatch. Bobtail insurance fills that gap.

Do you cover new authority truckers?

Yes. We work with carriers that accept new authorities. Even if you just received your MC number, we can get you the coverage you need to start operating. We also help with the MCS-90 endorsement filing.

Do you offer coverage in Spanish?

Yes. Many of our trucking clients are Spanish-speaking. Our team handles the entire process in Spanish — quotes, policy review, claims assistance, and compliance filings.
